Heart To Heart

Walnut, blackened steel, audio components, and two participants.

2015

A sound sculpture that serves as a mode of interface for an intimate interaction with another person.

The piece is comprised of a table and stools with two sets of headphones and contact microphones. Participants place these sensitive microphones to their chest in order to hear their heartbeat, only to discover the audio is split in the headphones to allow both participants to hear their own heartbeat as well as the other person.
